The breakfast club is free and starts at 8:00 A.M. every morning with an average of 70 children attending. The breakfast club is accessed via the main entrance to school daily and is open to all pupils free of charge however, children who have poor attendance and punctuality are actively targeted to attend. This club is staffed by suitably qualified school staff who also work as support staff in various roles during the school day, this ensures continuity for the children in our care.
Breakfast is prepared in the school kitchen and includes mixed toast, choice of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, juice and milk. In the winter months, children can choose hot chocolate and porridge.
After breakfast children can take part in a range of structured activities, some of which are set out in the timetable below.
Children are consulted and activities are reviewed every half term to ensure that children are engaged. Examples of activities children can choose from are set out below.
