British Values

Children in Cedar are taught British Values through our wide and varied curriculum.  We learn the value of mutual respect by learning about everyone playing a role and how each role is important to the overall running of everyday life. During our Tribal Tales topic we learn about the respect of one another and how the perseverance and attitude of the human race brought about the development through the different ages.

In Cedar we earn House Points which contribute towards a team goal across the whole school. We are awarded these for positive learning attitudes and for showing respect and tolerance towards others.  We continue to learn about rules and laws and why we have them, including the importance of keeping to them. We learn about our wide range of religions and faiths and are encouraged to celebrate diversity and consider similarities and differences between them.

Our School Parliament:

Samia and Kaitlin are our School Parliament Members.  Samia will attend a meeting each week supported by Kaitlin which they will then feed back to the class.  They will then take the views of the children to Parliament.
