British Values

In Poplar we learn about British values through our topic work, PSHE and R.E.

We learn about democracy when we have a vote in our class or school. Democracy allows everyone to have their voice heard. We voted for our School Parliament members to represent our class and put our views forward.

In R.E. we learn about tolerance when we study a variety of faiths and we accept that other children might have different beliefs than ours and they may believe in different religions.

We have rules in our school and this helps us to understand the rule of law. We realise that rules are made so that we can be safe.

We show mutual respect in our class when we work together and help one another. We might not always agree with other people, but we try to show respect for their thoughts and feelings.
