Ayresome Primary is pleased to be supporting Place2Be’s Children’s Mental Health Week 2019 (4-10 February)

For this year’s theme ‘Healthy: Inside and Out’, Place2Be is encouraging children to look after their bodies and their minds. When we think of healthy living, we tend to focus on our physical well-being – healthy eating, being active and getting enough sleep. However, in order to be healthy overall, it’s important to look after our minds – our mental well-being too. Our bodies and our minds are closely linked, so things that we do to improve our physical well-being can also improve our mental well-being. Children in every class have diagnosed mental health problems and many more struggle with challenges from bullying to bereavement. But, when we take steps to be ‘Healthy: Inside and Out’, it helps us to feel better in ourselves, focus on what we want to do and deal with difficult times.
