Nursery

Welcome to the Saplings Class.

The Nursery environment consists of three large warm and inviting classrooms and a well-resourced outdoor space. We have places for 52 children in the morning and 52 children in the afternoon.

Your child will be supported by well trained dedicated staff who have a thorough knowledge of the Early Years curriculum. They will have a Key Worker, who will help to support and nurture them as they begin their journey to full time school.

Children will be offered a wide range of teacher led and child-initiated activities that allow for the development of learning through play and exploration.

Your child will begin to learn to do things for themselves, they will explore and investigate, watch and listen, talk and discuss, create and communicate – in other words, play!

Play is children’s work and playing hard is very tiring! Play can also be very messy as your child will be learning both inside with sand, water and paint, and also in the outdoors with mud, leaves and so on, so you can expect some mucky clothes at the end of the day!

Children will be nurtured within our settings. They will realise they are special people and will be given the encouragement and support to grow in emotional development, self-esteem and confidence.
