Pupil premium and families in receipt of benefits

The school will shortly be sending out letters to all those families who are in receipt of government benefits. For those families who have job seekers allowance, Universal Credit, on any income support or tax credits, you may be entitled to what is called the pupil premium. This money is given to schools to ensure that your child can access additional services, provide additional staffing for classes and year groups and also supports the enhanced provision of services across the school, including residential visit subsidies. The school will be sending out a benefits check letter and if you are receiving benefits but have not notified the school can you please make sure that you do this so that school can claim the funding that it is entitled to, to support your child in the setting.
