In September 2017, the school embarked upon its learning pathway format for classroom organisation. This was to minimise the impact of mobility of over 200 pupils per year to enable personalised learning to be flexible and impacting upon outcomes. The range of abilities had become too wide for full mixed ability classes and combined with constant mobility and fluidity in classes, it was felt that we needed to consolidate our pathways for learning and move to a newer model. Children can move between pathways to acquire skills, knowledge and understanding in a meaningful way based on progress outcomes and new arrival data.
